Vera, a master tutor, earned her MA in Education from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City. She is currently a high school math teacher in Middlesex County. Vera believes that everyone is ultimately responsible for their own learning, and that as a teacher, she has been given the opportunity to influence the motivation of students in the learning process. The goal is to maximize student achievement to the highest degree possible. As a passionate learner herself, Vera wants her love of learning to be contagious. David holds a Master's degree from American University in International Affairs and a Master's from Hunter in Mental Health Counseling. In addition, his Bachelor’s degree is from New York University. David is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in working with teens, young adults, families, and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Prior to beginning his counseling career, he was involved in international relations in Washington, DC, and lived in, and traveled to, over 30 countries. His diverse work and travel experience has allowed him to better appreciate the diversity of the human experience, and has enhanced his ability to connect with a diverse range of clients in a supportive and non-judgmental manner. His approach to counseling has also been informed by an extensive study of yoga and eastern philosophy. Whenever possible, he can be found in the mountains and rivers of New York and New Jersey, cooking and spending time with family.
